HORTON, Karen – of Flint Township, age 68, passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2022. A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 3 PM Monday, December 19, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI; Rev. Fr. The family will receive visitors 2-7 PM Sunday, December 18, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Monday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Whaley Children’s Center, in Karen’s memory. Karen was born in Flint, MI on June 29, 1954, daughter of the late William and Rosa Handlin. Karen worked for AC Spark Plug for over 27 years, retiring in 2007. Karen was an animal lover and loved sitting outdoors watching nature in her yard.

I ordered an insert for the casket and it was not there so the guy says oh we'll try to get it in before the service, offering no compassion after leaving us there waiting on him for over 30 mins while he went to check on it. I had to pay for the service out of pocket because the director said that payment from the insurance company would not come in time to have the service on the date I chose.

The driver act like it was no big deal giving me more excuses and no one ever followed up to acknowledge it even happened. My sister was buried in a different city so her body was transferred by air to another funeral home after the Homegoing Services. That funeral home was awesome, very professional and showed compassion they were serving 6 other families at the same time but treated us as if we were the only one.The experience I had with Horton's was awful. The director who worked with me set the tone and it went down hill from there.
